Write a discussion post (at least 150-words long) that responds to the following:
Ancient Greek kouroi (kouros is the singular) sculptures represent nude, athletic young men as symbols for honor, athleticism, and beauty (in addition to a few other ideas). In short, kouroi sculptures represent ideal Greek masculinity.
In contrast, korai (female) sculptures, are not nude or athletic. Korai sculptures are certainly beautiful but their apparent beauty and cultural meaning differ from that of kouroi sculptures.
Consider the social position of women in ancient Greek society and with YOUR OWN informed insights, discuss what korai sculptures say about how the ancient Greeks viewed women.
