Objective: For this project, you will be putting together a personalized RHIA Examination preparation plan. This plan will include elements that target your personal testing needs based upon the outcome of your Mock Exams #1 and #2, and in consideration of all learning from this course. The goal is for you to create a plan that you will implement to help you prepare for, and successfully complete the RHIA examination.

Deliverables:

  1. Cover Page: Cover Page to include Header with Course Number. Include Your Name, Name of Project, Course Title, Your Name, Instructor name, Date (1 page) (5 points)
  2. Table of Contents: Follow the APA formatting for creating a table of contents page. ( 1 page) (10 points)
  3. Mock Exam 1 Analysis: After completion of the Mock Exam #1, you will analyze the outcome and complete a 2 page analysis of your results. This will include a copy of the summary results page from the test as one page and your detailed analysis as the second page. Your analysis will include a one paragraph summary of your initial reaction to the examination. What surprised you on the exam? Did you do better or worse than expected? What did you like and dislike about the test taking experience? You will also include a thorough discussion of your overall areas of strengths and weaknesses on the exam, directly correlating to the exam outcomes and RHIA domain concepts. (2 pages) (30 points)
  4. Resource Allocation: This section will provide a one paragraph overview of the resources you have allocated for use in your preparation. This can be publications, website, games, training materials, etc. This will be followed by reference list (works cited) list of all resources. Please use APA formatting of all references. (1 page) (20 points)
  5. Physical/Mental/Cognitive Prep: This section will provide a detail discussion of your current level of preparedness in each of the three categories. You will provide a heading for each category, and then in 1-2 paragraphs, discuss each of the following under each heading:
    1. Current Physical/Mental/Cognitive Condition
    2. Areas of strengths and weaknesses
    3. Strategies for improving in each area
  6. Study Methods/Strategies: For this section you will open discuss the study methods and strategies that you will use to help you prepare for the RHIA examination. Discuss what methods you have typically used for successful test preparation, and then discuss any new strategies you will incorporate, and how they will help you target improvement in the outcomes of your course. (1 page) (20 points)
  7. Roadblocks/Strategies: This section will discuss what you feel the current roadblocks or challenges will be for successfully completing the RHIA Examination. List each roadblock, and then provide a discussion for why the roadblock exist and how it impacts you, and then provide a discussion of strategies you will implement to overcome the roadblocks or challenge. Roadblocks could be physical challenges, mental challenges, personal challenges with time, finances, etc. Or, these could even be challenges with the testing experience such as sitting for long periods of time, etc. (1 page) (20 points)
  8. Testing Specifications: This sections will discuss all of the specification of your testing experience including the following: (1 page) (10 points)
    1. Timeline for completion – put together a detailed timeline in a table or graph format that outlines your preparation schedule up to an including date of testing. Items to include in timeline are timeframes for testing, studying, physical/cognitive/mental preparation activities, etc.
    2. Include the name and location of the testing site you will be utilizing and any other testing center details.
    3. Provide a list of the testing requirements
  9. 9.Mock Exam #2 Analysis: After completion of the Mock Exam #2, you will analyze the outcome and complete a 2 page analysis of your results. This will include a copy of the summary results page from the test as one page and your detailed analysis as the second page. Your analysis will include a one paragraph summary of your initial reaction to your second attempt at the examination and a summary of your results compared to the results of the Mock Exam #1. What surprised you this time? Did you do better than the first time? Did any weak areas improve significantly? You will also include a thorough discussion of your overall areas of strengths and weaknesses on the exam, directly correlating to the exam outcomes and RHIA domain concepts. (2 pages) (30 points)
  10. 10.Grammar/Spelling/Formatting – Be sure final Plan is free of all grammar, spelling, or typographical errors. Be to follow all formatting requirements as outlined above. Written components should be 12pt, Times New Roman font. Include page numbers in the footer of every page, and include a header with Assignment title. (5 points).
