For this week’s journal, I want you to define socialization in your own words and provide examples of socialization that would be found in each of the different agents of socialization. These can be found in section 5.3 Agents of Socialization in the textbook and the lecture. They include the family, peer groups, school, the workplace, religion, government, and mass media. Each example must be unique, meaning they were not included in the textbook, lecture, or the Crash Course video.
The journal must include:
– A definition of socialization in your own words
– One unique example of socialization that can be found within each of the agents of socialization (section 5.3 of textbook and lecture) which are:
— the family
— peer groups
— school
— the workplace
— religion
— the government
— mass media
